Metal Gear Solid 5 awards you with daily log-in bonuses

Now that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been released, we're getting a better sense of how its controversial Mother Base Coins work.

There has been some confusion over how you unlock coins and upgrades in the Forward Operating Base online mode, and the presence of free-to-play style microtransactions in the game have gotten some fans riled up.

Now Gamespot are reporting that you'll be given rewards simply for starting Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain up each day. There is a 'Daily Login Bonus', which seems to change each day.

They also report that Konami have also issued a claim that you'll be able to unlock Mother Base Coins in the single player campaign "after proceeding to a certain point in the game". The first FOB base will be free, and after that additional bases can be bought with these coins.

Metal Gear Online has been delayed until October 6 on consoles (and until January on PC). Hopefully by the time it launches there will be some more clarity on this issue.
