So what's Volume all about, then?

Volume combines Mike Bithell's flair for story-telling with a cool futuristic spin on Robin Hood, as aptly illustrated by this launch trailer.

I have played Volume and can tell you it is perhaps even more charming than Thomas Was Alone, despite not trading on the narrated gimmick. It's a very different style of game, of course - a stealth adventure rather than a platformer - but that Bithell feel is there in the excellent voice acting and player-friendly narrative pacing.

Speaking of which: here's a live-action launch trailer. The villainous voice you hear is none other than Andy Serkis, he of Gollum fame among many other varied roles, who was just one of a number of talents who signed on.

In other Volume news, I managed to fix my PC on my lunch break and found my Steam library intact, so with any luck we'll have full impressions tomorrow. Hooray!

Volume is out now on Steam and hits PSN today, if it hasn't already arrived in your regions. Early reviews are pretty positive. The Vita release has been pushed back, unfortunately.
