Kojima and del Toro are still planning to work on a project together

Silent Hills may have been canned, it doesn't mean it's the end of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro's working relationship.

Speaking with IGN, del Toro said he loved working with the Metal Gear Solid creator and that the two are still in touch.

"We are still friends and working into doing something together, but that’s not going to be [Silent Hills]," he said.

While the cancelled project the duo were working on was still "in the planning stages," del Toro said the goal was to "really push the boundaries" consoles, and create "a game that really messes with your head."

"One of the great moments in Metal Gear [Solid] was Psycho Mantis," he used as an example. "The idea that a game can actually interact with you, and stuff like that."

Those who have already downloaded the Silent Hills demo P.T. on their PS4 can still play it, but it has been removed from the PS Store by Konami.
