Angry Birds 2 will launch on multiple mobile platforms on July 30, Rovio has announced. The birds seem even angrier this time.

Few details have been released so far, with Rovio promising more information across its social media channels in the next few weeks. The game's website will probably be the easiest way to stay on board. For now, here's a teaser trailer.

Angry Birds has garnered some 3 billion downloads and become a worldwide phenomenon, which is why this is such interesting news. What does Rovio consider a worthy successor - and will it be able to do it all again?
