Tomb Raider movie reboot looking for female director - rumour

The Tomb Raider movie reboot is moving along in pre-production.
HeroicHollywood reports that Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM are looking for a female director to steer the reboot.
The report reconfirms Evan Daugherty's involvement with the script. Daugherty penned Divergent, Snow White And The Huntsman, and G.I. Joe 3.
The site described the director the studios are looking for as a "Michelle Maclaren type." Maclaren is a Canadian director who has a wide range of TV episodes to her name, such as Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and others.
The name of the actress playing the lead role remains a mystery as well, and likely won't be cast until later.
