The Elder Scrolls Online loses creative director three weeks after console launch

The creative director of The Elder Scrolls Online has left to join Gearbox Software.

Seriously dudes send me a beta invite already

Paul Sage, creative director of The Elder Scrolls Online, has left his job less than three weeks after the game launched on PS4 and Xbox One.

According to Eurogamer, Sage will now work as creative director on a new project, most likely Borderlands 3.

Originally a subscription game, The Elder Scrolls Online dropped that requirement in March ahead of its launch on consoles.

The console version of the game launch on June 9 but some players were unable to log in. Last week publisher Bethesda released a 16GB patch for the game, so it's fair to say it's not had the best of starts.
