EA and Visceral's Star Wars game inspired by Uncharted and 1313

The other EA Star Wars game, currently in development at Visceral Games, is taking great inspirations from Star Wars 1313, and the Uncharted series.

During the same panel where veteran voice actor Nolan North talked about writer Amy Hennig's departure from the Uncharted 4 team, he also made the Visceral Star Wars game slightly less mysterious.

"If you're a big fan of Amy Hennig and her style of story, she's gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted," he said during a Q&A panel panel at MetroCon. "I happen to know a lot about it and it's going to be awesome."

When asked if it was the Star Wars 1313 game, he said "it's different, but along the same lines."

Star Wars 1313 was the last game LucasArts was working on before it shut down in 2013. The game first debuted at E3 2013 with an impressive demo.

EA has been quite mum, and has not revealed the smallest of details about it. We don't have a name, or any story synopsis. This is somewhat understandable, given that EA is publishing its first Star Wars game this year in the form of Battlefront, and may have elected not to confuse consumers with talk of two Star Wars games.

Whatever the case, 2016 would make a safe bet for when we'll be hearing about it.
