Kotaku reports that Howard was asked about paid mods in an interview with Spiegel Online, a German publication.

Talking about the announcement at the Microsoft E3 show that PC mods for the game would also be available on Xbox, Spiegel Online asked if we would be paying for some of these mods.

Howard's reply, courtesy of Google Translate, was "How long was the online payment system? 24 Hours? I can only speak for the present time, but currently there are no plans for a payment system."

Fallout 4 is due on November 10 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
