Dota 2 is now available in its shiny new Source Engine 2 form.

Opt into the Dota 2 Reborn beta to check out the rebuilt MOBA right now, if you fancy it.

Instructions on how to install the new, in-development version are available on the Dota 2 Reborn hub.

The latest hub update provides many more details on how porting over to Source 2 has improved Dota 2 and made it future proof. The new engine allows for reduced input lag; enhanced performance on low and high end machines; multi-thread CPU usage and streaming; better audio, physics and rendering; future support for Linux and Mac clients; and a tiled map system - meaning you can play together with people using different custom tilesets.

Reborn also supports the latest version of Source Filmmaker, and takes advantage of better networking.

These updates come on top of support for custom games and an overhauled UI.
