Third-party and Microsoft's internal studios working on unannounced Kinect titles

With Microsoft embracing Oculus Rift, Valve's VR tech and working on its own augmented reality tech HoloLens, one could easily assume Kinect has been tossed aside for more immersive options. Not true, says the company. In fact, there are games in development for the peripheral at this very moment.

Speaking with Polygon, Microsoft's GM of global games publishing at Xbox said there are Kinect titles on slate for a fall release for release this fall.

According to Shannon Loftis, the unannounced titles are in development both internally and at third-party studios.

Kinect will also come to Windows 10, and according to Loftis, "more creators than you might expect" are working with Kinect tech for Xbox One.

Loftis went on to say the games weren't announced during E3 2015 because Microsoft wanted to focus on backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games and the fall line-up.
