SnapMap makes modding Doom easier than ever

id Software puts a modern spin on the series' roots.

During Bethesda's E3 showcase, Executive Producer Marty Stratton revealed the first details about Doom's SnapMap, a feature crafted as a nod to the strong creative community that has sprung up around the series over the past two decades.

SnapMap is a cross-platform content creation system that pairs simple drag-and-drop functionality with the powerful ability to alter game logic, allowing players to build not only new levels, but also custom game modes. See it in action in the video below.
