Destiny players who enjoy the tense battles of Trials of Osiris can get some practice in standard Crucible.

Destiny developer Bungie has added 3v3 mode Elimination to the regular Crucible playlists.

The unusual best of three all-down mode has previously been exclusive to Trials of Osiris, a weekend event. The standard form of Elimination differs from Trials of Osiris in that there are no power advantages, you can use team matchmaking, and opponent matchmaking is skill-based where possible.

There's one other major difference - map cycling. trials of Osiris focuses on one map exclusively each week, while the standard Crucible playlist will visit a variety of locations.

Of course, you won't be earning anything towards your Trials of Osiris Passage Card, either, and rewards will be standard Crucible fare.

Still, it's an excellent chance to get some practice in for the ultimate PvP challenge of the Trials. The Elimination playlist will be available for a week.

Let's pause to plug Arekkz's guide to reforging the perfect House of Wolves shottie; when power advantaged are disabled, a perfect set of perks is your best friend.
