Cities: Skylines has sold 1 million copies, over 33,000 mods created

Paradox and Colossal Order's Cities: Skylines has sold one million copies since it was released a month ago on March 10.

Since release, there's already 33,569 mods available through Steam Workshop, with an average of 21,000 concurrent players continuously online since launch.

“We continue to be amazed at just how players have embraced Cities: Skylines," said Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester said in the press release.

"The game is still selling at a steady pace, which is remarkable for a game that has been on sale for well over a month. Once again, we want to thank everyone that has supported and continues to support this game.”

The standard edition of Cities: Skylines is available for $29.99, and the deluxe edition -which contains five in-game historical monuments - will run you $39.99.
