Halo Online is looking pretty good

It might officially be for Russia only, but we're having a little drool over Halo Online for PC anyway.

This footage captured by GamingPranks shows the Valhalla/Riverworld map and it looks pretty damn tasty.

It's a bit laggy, but according to GamingPranks that's because in order to play the game outside of its intended territory you need to use a service like Tungle, resulting in slow down. Also, remember it's a beta.

Halo Online is a free-to-play PC shooter currently in development for Russia by Saber Interactive. It runs on a modified Halo 3 engine for play on low end PC systems, and supports up to 16-player matches.

Microsoft has said it won't be releasing the game outside of Russia in the foreseeable future, but modders are already hard at working setting it free in the west and removing all the microtransaction elements. This could get messy.

Although it would probably distract from the release of Halo 5 and interfere with marketing plans for the upcoming Xbox One exclusive, I reckon MS should put it live everywhere and let players decide if they want it or not.
