Nintendo CEO denies Legend of Zelda TV series is in works

Nintendo is not working on a TV series adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, according to CEO Satoru Iwata.

In February, a report by the Wall Street Journal suggested that Netflix is working with Nintendo on a live-action TV series based on The Legend of Zelda. The show was said to be in early stages of development and was to be similar to Game of Thrones, but for a family audience.

This was just rumour however, according to Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata.

"As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information," Iwata told Time Magazine.

Well there you have it, you can continue waiting for an anything adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.
