Mortal Kombat X is coming to Android and iOS devices as an extension of the main game. It will launch in April alongside the console versions.

The mobile game will be part card collecting and part fighting game. It will support multiplayer and will sport moves from the console version, such as Fatalities and x-rays. Characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden will be present.

You'll unlock content in the main game by playing the mobile game, and vice versa. The concept is said to be "expanded" this time around over 2011's Mortal Kombat and its tie-in.

The trailer below shows some bits of the fighting part.
