The cover-based shooter from OlliOlli developer Roll7, Not A Hero, has a release date pegged for May.

Announced at EGX Rezzed 2014, the game stars a fellow named Steve who is a professional assassin who is now a campaign manager.

His client is an anthropomorphic rabbit from the future named BunnyLord, a mayoral candidate who has tasked Steve and his "expanding roster of dubious heroes" with "cleaning up the city."

Basically, players will dive into the city's criminal underworld located in three major districts and "persuade" undecided voters to choose BunnyLord.

Not A Hero will be launched on PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble on May 7, while the PlayStation 4 and Vita versions will launch later in the year.

The beta version of Not a Hero will be playable at PAX East, SXSW Gaming and EGX Rezzed throughout the month of March.

Roll7 and Not a Hero's publisher Devolver Digital announced last week that Curiosity winner Bryan Henderson will appear in the game.
