Sony has rolled out a new firmware update for PlayStation 4, with no prior announcement.

The firmware, version 2.04, is live now in some regions. Not everyone is able to download it however, multiple users on Twitter and on Reddit are reporting loss of PSN connection as soon as the download starts.

Some are receiving errors CE-32937-4 and SU-30709-9 when attempting to update.

Sony has not posted the official notes of the firmware just yet, but did say that it's aware of the connection issues and that engineers are on the case.

We'll update this story when we hear more.
