EA reiterates Titanfall 2 could release on platforms other than Xbox

EA has said there will "probably" be another Titanfall game, and as previously stated, it will likely arrive on multiple platforms.

Speaking during the 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference this week, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen hinted that Titanfall 2 could land on PlayStation 4.

"Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven't yet announced, but we'll probably have another Titanfall game,” he said per Gamespot. “It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that's a huge positive for us."

Titanfall was released as a PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One exclusive, but post release, EA said it may release the "franchise" on platforms other than PC and Xbox.

Upon its release, EA was said to have picked up the publishing rights to Titanfall for future releases.

In October 2013, Repawn co-founder Vince Zampella said “of course” the team planned on creating games for PlayStation 4, and not just Titanfall titles, and that a sequel to Titanfall was dependent upon the success of the first outing, something EA also alluded to later that year..

Last June, it was rumored a sequel to Titanfall was purportedly “in the planning stages” for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, per a Wall Street Journal report, which backed up claims from March that Titanfall 2 would no longer be exclusive to Microsoft.
