Elite: Dangerous version 1.1 has been released

Frontier Developments has released version 1.1 for Elite: Dangerous.

The free update expands the core game with new Community Goals, graphical enhancements and localization for French, German and Russian.

Community Goals will find players sharing an objectives in a new storyline and help build starports in undeveloped systems, and can be played in private group, single-player or multiplayer.

Update 1.1 also extends route planning to 1,000 light years and "enhances the appearance of planets throughout the full-scale recreation of the Milky Way."

Frontier said it plans to release update 1.2 in early March, which will focus on multiplayer and introducing new ways for players to group, communicate and locate friends.
