Battlefield Hardline progression system detailed

The progression system of Battlefield Hardline will feature new challenges and the return of some old favourites.

Battlefield Hardline developer Visceral Games wrote a breakdown of the in-game progression.

Anyone who played previous Battlefield titles will be familiar with the way they're structured, but some are more interesting than others and will perhaps fit the cops and robbers theme a little better.

Team-oriented tasks will naturally net you better points. Getting a kill in a Hotwire car among squad mates will reward more cash than the regular random kill you get away from any objective.

Service Stars will make a return and will carry even more weight. Earning a bronze Service Star will reward you with vehicle modifications, weapon attachments and class loadouts. Silver and gold stars will unlock cosmetic items, such as gold guns and various outfit colours.

Hardline's version of Assignments rewards players with in-game patches, and sometime weapon unlocks. There are over 200 of these and they vary wildly in difficulty. The hardest of them being the Syndicate Assignments, which have their criteria hidden, similar to the Phantom Program from Battlefield 4.

And finally, the game will have a max level of 150.
