Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch announces departure from Gearbox

Borderlands 2 writer and Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'? creator Anthony Burch has announced his departure from Gearbox Software.

Burch announced on Twitter today he had left the developer to work as the lead writer on an original Hulu series from Freddie Wong’s RocketJump. The show will be produced by Lionsgate.

The new series will expand upon the success of Wong's short films, and at present there are eight half-hour episodes in total for the time being and each will premiere on a weekly basis.

Each episode chronicles the filmmaking behind RocketJump’s newest short.

We've reached out to Gearbox and 2K for comment.
