New Fire Emblem may release in the west this year

Fire Emblem If may make it west before the end of 2015.

Fire Emblem If as it is known in Japa, has just been called Fire Emblem in European and North American Nintendo Direct presentations, but always with a "working title" addendum.

The 3DS exclusive is releasing in Japan in the second or third quarter, but Nintendo has been quite reluctant to put any kind of date on a western release.

In an email received by GoNintendo, Nintendo Australia said the game will launch sometime in 2015. So you know, that's a slightly less ignorant position than we were in a week ago.

Fire Emblem is a long-running strategy RPG series that was on its last legs when 2012 entry Awakening (pictured) struck gold, selling strongly on both sides of the pond and ensuring the franchise's future.
