Monument Valley sales total $5.8 million

Monument Valley developer Ustwo Games has made a fair slice from its beautiful mobile puzzler.

Despite huge piracy levels, Monument Valley made a lot of money. With development costs of about $1.5 million across original game and expansion, and revenues of $5.8 million, that's a tasty profit.

As the Ustwo team was actually around eight members through development, and the studio is based in London, it's unlikely any of the members are rolling around on piles of money, alas. But it's still great to see such a gorgeous game do good numbers.
