Where to watch the Windows 10 briefing next week

Microsoft and Xbox will reveal their plans for the future of PC gaming next week, and you can tune in live.

The Windows 10 media briefing will be held at 9:00 AM PT on January 21.

The event will be livestreamed before being made available as on-demand video. You can tune in on Microsoft's website.

The briefing will feature Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore and, most pertinently to gamers, Xbox boss Phil Spencer. Spencer has said it's time for Microsoft to talk about PC gaming, so we're pretty excited.

Now idea what to expect, really, but Microsoft is believed to be aiming to unify its Windows, Xbox and mobile operating environments, and we're hoping to see some replacement for the much-derided Games for Windows Live.

Oh, and Cortana's probably in the new web browser, Spartan.
