Super Smash Bros. Wii U Amiibo files suggest Duck Hunt Duo inbound - rumour

Super Smash Bros. Wii U apparently contains references to at least one unreleased Amiibo.

By manipulating Super Smash Bros. Wii U somehow, YouTuber Mema Haxx seems to have uncovered Amiibo information for a new figure called Duck Hunt Duo, showing the famous duck and dog combo.

In the video below you can see the game apparently registering the figurine, suggesting Nintendo built in infrastructure for an upcoming or possibly cancelled Amiibo.

We'll have to treat this as rumour for now of course, although if it's a fake it's very nicely done indeed.

New Amiibo figures will be gradually released in waves. Nintendo has said it will restock some sold out figures, but its comments suggest some may be one-time, limited run dealios.

Bandai Namco has jumped on the Amiibo train now, too.
