Wasteland 2 team teases "passionately demanded" RPG project

Wasteland 2 developer inXile has begun early work on a new project - one that fans have been asking for.

Although ongoing support for Wasteland 2 and work on Torment: Tides of Numenera are inXile's primary foci right now, a small team has broken off to start a new project.

"Myself and a few others at the studio are beginning to work on another RPG that has been passionately demanded of us for a while now," Wasteland 2 project lead Chris Keenan said in the most recent Wasteland 2 Kickstarter update.

"It’s still quite early in the process, but we will have more news on that in the New Year."

That's pretty interesting, because inXile has ties to some very famous RPG properties. Could the team have secured to go ahead for a new isometric Fallout from Bethesda? Are we due for another Bard's Tale? Is another entry in the Torment series on the go? Is there something obvious I've overlooked?

Thanks, PC Gamer.
