PlayStation 4 to cost less than Xbox One in China - report

A few reports from Chinese media sites are suggesting that the price of PlayStation 4 will be lower than that of Xbox One in China.

Sites like Sina.com and PcGames.Com.cn are reporting that PlayStation 4 will launch at CNY 2,999 ($487).

For comparison, the Kinect-less Xbox One costs CNY 3,699 ($600), with the Kinect version costing CNY 4,299 ($699). That's at least $113 more than the PS4.

The Xbox One is already out in China, and Sony is expected to reveal the release date of PS4 sometime this month. The PlayStation 4 should also launch with 50 games in the region, many of which are Chinese-translated.

It's worth noting that both consoles are distributed by the same company in China, Shanghai Media Group.
