X-COM creator's new game gets Early Access release date

Chaos Reborn, the new strategy game from X-COM creator Julian Gollop, will be available from next week.

Chaos Reborn will be available on Steam Early Access from December 9 for both Mac and PC.

Pricing has not been revealed, but if it follows the same structure as the crowdfunding and pre-order offers, it should set you back about $20.

Early Access will last for about seven months, so be aware that you'll be buying into an in-development game. The Early Access version will support 2v2 team battles and free-for-all matches, either with turn timers or asynchronously. The campaign and AI battles will not be available until full release.

Chaos Reborn is a successor to Gollop's 1985 ZX Spectrum classic, Chaos. It was crowdfunded earlier this year to the tune of $210,854.
