Tales from the Borderlands launch trailer is a gateway drug to Gearbox's lore

Borderlands insanity mixed with TellTale's sharp writing. This launch trailer makes the results look delicious.

What interests me about Tales from the Borderlands is how many reviews mention that TellTale's series highlights Borderlands lore. Even Gearbox has said that the core Borderlands games don't do a good job of telling stories and exploring the universe - especially in the madness of co-op, with everyone talking and blowing stuff up - but that doesn't mean the franchise doesn't host an ongoing plot (or ten).

Tales from the Borderlands is out today on PC and PlayStation in the US. The Xbox version is due tomorrow, with European PlayStation users left for last in early December. The Mac release has been delayed at the last minute, with no ETA as yet.
