Dark Souls is still on track to migrate from Microsoft's Games for Windows Live over to Steam, but has suffered a slight delay.

Publisher Bandai Namco had promised that the move will happen this November.

That will not be the case however, according to an update on the game's Steam community page. Instead, it is now expected to take place this December.

"We are working hard to finalize the process to move your Dark Souls: Prepare to Die saves and achievements to Steam," the update reads.

"We need to conduct additional testing and we are now targeting December to begin this process. We'll have more information in the coming weeks. Thank you very much for your patience!"

Namco promises that you'll be able to migrate your saves and achievements from GFWL to Steam once all development work is done.
