Atari: Game Over is now available on Xbox Live

Atari: Game Over, the Microsoft-produced documentary that chronicles the decline of the once mega publisher Atari, following the release of the E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial game for the Atari 2600 is now available for everyone to watch.

The documentary is directed by Zak Penn and produced by Simon and Jonathan Chinn.

"A documentary is a search for the story," Penn explained, "whereas I'm used to trying to preserve the story I've created."

The documentary should provide an interesting look at what is perceived by many as the golden age of video games. It features interviews with Atari's Howard Scott Warshaw and Nolan Bushnell.

Anyone with an Xbox Live subscription can watch it on Xbox 360 or Xbox One through the Xbox Video app.
