Ubisoft wrote to let us know that The Crew: Road Empire has been made available for iPhone and iPad in Australia and New Zealand.

The free-to-play, standalone game is not yet available in other regions as it's undergoing a soft launch; the smaller populations down here make us perfect for what amounts to extended testing.

The app includes driving and fleet management gameplay, and has you running your own motor club and accepting transport contracts, You can gain power and influence by expanding to more cities and aim to be the wealthiest Crew around.

Meanwhile, SimCity BuildIt has also popped up on the App Store and Google Play down under. Another free-to-play game, it apparently doesn't require a constant Internet connection, which is amusing. As you'd expect, you can build cities, survive disasters and complete challenges.

EA told TouchArcade that a worldwide launch is expected soon, and provided the trailer below.
