Halo 5: Guardians footage leaks, shows sprint and scoping

Snippets of Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer footage have leaked ahead of an official reveal this week, and the community is not pleased.

Halo 5: Guardians will apparently include sprinting, according to a few snatches of off-screen footage leaked over the weekend.

The videos origins are unknown. Normally we'd be slapping "rumour" and "alleged" all over this article, but a couple of tweets from senior 343 Industries staff suggest the videos are genuine leaks.

343 founder Bonnie Ross wryly acknowledged the leak and encourages users to tune into IGN's Halofest on Monday to see Halo 5 for themselves.

Studio head Josh Holmes confirmed and clarified some of the details eagle-eyed fans noticed in the videos, and again pointed fans to the official reveal this week.

According to various commenters, Holmes's comments refute talk of Halo 5 including Call of Duty style aiming down the sights (ADS).

The videos have not been made available in an embeddable format, and we aren't fans of downloading and re-uploading leaked footage, so you'll have to download the videos for yourself. Thankfully the files are pretty small, as all up the footage only lasts about 15 seconds.

Thanks, NeoGAF.
