Evolve packs in a lot of variables

Evolve's 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer sounds utterly unpredictable.

A new series of Evolve developer interview videos has launched, with the first episode focusing on the concept at the heart of the game - four hunters versus one giant monster.

What I found most interesting was the discussion of how many variables are available to players. Each of the classes has multiple characters with their own unique abilities. Add to that equipment and perk choices and you have a lot of potential team variations.

It's no wonder both Turtle Rock and host Adam Sessler say that matches are hard to predict, and always have a chance to swing back in the other team's favour.

Evolve is due in February on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but a big alpha test kicks off this week.
