Shadow of Mordor gets photo mode – but there’s a catch

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has received a new update that adds a photo mode.

The new photo mode is part of the latest patch that was released on PS4 and Xbox One earlier. The mode allows you to strip off the game’s UI, change things like zoom, depth of field and similar tricks.

You can snap photos by clicking the left stick, after you’ve enabled the option in the settings.

Because this new mode doesn’t actually save the photos, it is currently useless on Xbox One. Instead, the mode relies on your console’s ability to save screenshots, so naturally, the feature works only on PS4.
