Halo: Spartan Strike announced for Steam, Windows 8 devices

Halo: Spartan Strike has been announced for Windows 8 devices along with PC by Microsoft as the follow-up to last year's Halo: Spartan Assault.

Like its predecessor, the game is a top-down twin-stick shooter and comes with various upgrades over Spartan Assault.

According to IGN, said upgrades include better controls, new vehicles and abilities, Prometheans as enemies and around 30 missions.

Set during the events of Halo 2, the Vanguard Games-developed title will run you $5.99 on Steam and Windows deviced when it releases on December 12.

It includes Xbox Live Achievements for the Microsoft developed systems, and Steam Achievements on PC.
