Assassin’s Creed: Rogue PC almost certainly happening

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is officially coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but new evidence adds to expectations it will likely appear on PC, too.

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue has been listed for PC by the Brazilian Classification Board, according to one NeoGAF user, providing a screenshot.

Another user user also says Ubisoft listed the game for PC on its Uplay website this weekend, uploading a credible screengrab.

Neither claim can be verified, unfortunately; the Uplay reward page is gone, if it existed, and when I queried the Brazilian Classification Board database the results suggested there were no Assassin’s Creed games on its records at all. Either the search is more complicated than I thought, or Ubisoft has locked it down tight. (I was able to bring up records for many other games without any problems.)

Ubisoft has always said PC, PS4 and Xbox One users can enjoy Assassin’s Creed: Unity, but it also hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Rogue being ported, so all things are possible.

Set in Paris during the French Revolution, Unity adds four player co-op, bringing multiplayer to the story campaign for the first time in the franchise’s history. Rogue tracks the adventures of an irish Templar named Shay, and involves a lot of sea battles. Both games are due in November.
