TGS 2014 attendance is not breaking records this year

This year's Tokyo Game Show did not break attendance records like it did the past year.

This year's iteration of the biggest trade show for games in Japan and Asia has attracted 251,000 visitors, down for last year's 270,197. The drop in attendance numbers is in reference to the number of visitors attending the show through its public days -which was 195,399- and not to the number of industry professionals and reports.

It's not all bad news though; as the number of exhibitors and reports who visited the show was up by 4,000 over last year.

Tokyo Game Show 2015 will take place September 17 through September 20 in 2015, at the Makuhari Messe.
