Super Smash Bros. Wii U November release date listed, then pulled by Nintendo France

Nintendo France seemingly confirmed yesterday's rumored November 21 release date for Super Smash Bros. Wii U before removing the release date from its site.

The date was posted via a banner advert for Hyrule Warriors, according to GoNintendo.

Upon being clicked, visitors to the website were able to scroll through upcoming Wii U titles, among which was a Super Smash Bros. Wii U advertisement.

The date listed on the banner was November 21, which is rather odd considering Nintendo generally releases games on Sunday in North America, with few exceptions. Super Smash Bros. Wii U may be one those exceptions.

Nintendo France has since stated the November 21 release date was posted in errors, but we have a slight feeling the explanation is just a smoke screen.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS releases on October 3.
