Wasteland 2 guide sidequests - Ace's Star, Metal Leg & the Mysterious Shrine

With the AG Center and Highpool completed, let's take a little time to clear up some side quests that have been knocking around since the start of the game.

Side Quest: Bring Ace’s Star Home

Go back to the Ranger Citadel and talk with the soldier, who will let you inside. Talk to the Hunter Captain about his team, a bunch of Special Ops soldiers. When you're done, so to the elevator doors in the middle of the room.

Talk to Flintlock and ask if he needs any help. He's looking for any interesting stuff you might find around the wasteland, so just mention Ace's Star and how it should be a museum piece and you'll complete the quest. Easy.

Side Quest: Investigate Strange Metal Leg

Go to the northwest side of the Citadel interior to find Captain Mercaptain inside a room on the right. She'll thank you for finding the Metal Leg and open her Requisition shop. you can pick up decent gear here and if you've been following this guide you should have a couple of rewards too.

When you walk away a character called Robert Bowling will offer to sell you quality weapons for a decent price. Don't buy anything from him. Although they look nice, they have a 95% chance of jamming. But if you continue to talk to him it will open up another side quest to travel to the Rail Nomads Camp to take a letter to his sister, Katy. Accept the quest.

Side Area: Mysterious Shrine

If you used Kiss Ass in the first mission on the raiders around the Radio tower you should have the marker on you map that points to a Mysterious Shrine. It's close to the Ranger Citadel so it's worth travelling there now.

From the World Map head north to the X marking and enter the ara. you'll receive inspiration from the shrine and you'll also be able to dig here and find a weapon and some other items.

Side Quest: Find the Wrecking Crew Stronghold and Wipe Them Out

Go southeast of the AG Center towards the market that Sean gave you earlier. At the Wrecking Crew stronghold you'll be in for quite a fight, so place a sniper on the hill if you can and send the rest in for a dust up in the lower central area.

Once everyone is dead, loot the place and hit the safe at the back of the area. There's also an extra skill point from the statue nearby. Now head back to the World Map.
