Wow, Gran Turismo's spectators are really awkward

Gran Turismo is famous for its impressive graphics, but there's one aspect of the racing series that lets the team down somewhat. Just look at these awkward little nubbins.

The Gran Turismo series is a graphics showcase, so you might expect it to look better than it does in these images. But then again, who stops to peer at the spectators?

Well, Imgurian bimmerfan771, and now us, I guess.

Look at this guy. His arms say "hooray" but his face says "will I ever escape this torturous prison".

"Spectators will react naturally to events," Polyphony enthused. "Yes, we'll certainly pay for that," said Sony.

THIS RACE IS SO EXCITING I CAN'T EVEN HANDLE IT.

Is this guy... hip popping for the camera? If he had lip geometry, he'd probably duck face.

Apart from the weird, flimsy joints, this is very true to life. All douchebags look the same.

These images were captured on the Eiger Nordwand track of - Gran Turismo 6? I'm not super sure. Visit Imgur to see the whole gallery. It's kind of like the opposite of sites like Dead End Thrills.

Is there anything more fun than poking around in the bits of games developers expect and hope you'll never really look at? I posit there is not, which is probably why I love The Stanley Parable so much.
