Whoops! Tekken 7 announce leaks ahead of Evo 2014 reveal

Tekken publisher Nacmo Bandai will be making an announcement at EVO 2014 today, and leaks suggest it is indeed Tekken 7.

UPDATE: Tekken 7 has been officially confirmed.

Tekken 7 was revealed via an IGN video featuring producer Katsuhiro Harada, apparently; AOL published the video earlier today, although IGN itself had not.

This was presumably an embargo-busting error as it has since been taken down, but both EventHubs and Gematsu saw it, and we have no reason to disbelieve either reliable source.

According to reports, the video confirmed Tekken 7 is being built on Unreal Engine 4 and will come to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it," Harada apparently said.

"Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it also allows us to bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire."

We expect to have more details later today when Tekken 7 is officially announced.
