GameCube controllers will work perfectly with Wii U Smash Bros

Not everybody is a fan of playing Super Smash Bros with a Wiimote. And you won't ever have to, not even for Super Smash Bros Wii U.

Nintendo unveiled its official Wii U Gamecube controller adapter via its video for the Super Smash Bros. Invitational for E3 this year.

Nintendo also revealed the news on its Twitter feed. "Get excited! The #WiiU version of #SmashBros. will be playable with GameCube controllers," stated the tweet. The announcement came with a picture of the adapter, shown below.

This news is surely to be a boon to any Super Smash Bros fan, and no doubt will make the Wii U a much more tempting buy.

Super Smash Bros will be releasing on the 3DS and the Wii U sometime later this year.
