No games for Oculus Rift? No problem! Play Game Boy

Here's one way to get use out of your Oculus Rift headset while you wait for developer support for virtual reality to increase; play games from the 1990's.

A clever chappie by the name of Shane O'Brien has worked up an Oculus Rift game integrating a Unity-based Game Boy emulator. If your Game Boy has gone the way of the dodo, or perhaps if you lack a nice distraction-free place to play it, this technologically overwrought solution may be for you.

I made a joke about the lack of virtual reality support before, but there are actually loads of interesting games and experiments to check out if you dig around a bit. If traditional gaming is more your bag, Steam has a handy virtual reality support search category for games that already officially support the headset.

We're expecting Oculus to accelerate plans to release a commercial, consumer version of the headset now that it can draw on daddy Facebook's funds.

Thanks, Kotaku.
