Mortal Kombat's Ed Boon has started what appears to be a cryptic countdown on Twitter that, if accurate, will expire just ahead of E3. The Internet - as always - is on high speculation alert.

So it's a countdown, but to what? Well, it could be the next Mortal Kombat game, which Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain's Keifer Sutherland said he's involved in. Whoops.
There's also rumours of a new Injustice, but the reports are as tenuous as hell so we're choosing to ignore them until something more concrete comes up.
The jury's out people.
