A Virtual Console release of SNES Mortal Kombat has "0.0" chance of happening, says Ed Boon

Fans of the classic Mortal Kombat games, particularity the ones released on the Nintendo SNES and the Sega Gensis systems, have been clamouring for a re-release of a some sort on modern systems for a while now. A chance of a re-release on the Wii U Virtual Console was the last hope they had, until Ed Boon shot it down today.

Ed Boon took to Twitter to answer a fan asking if there's any chance the classic SNES versions of Mortal Kombat will make it to the Virtual Console, to which he replied "0.0%."

He later added that the SNES version didn't play as good as the Genesis version. Though as said, we would love to hear the story of why.

Thanks, Polygon.
