Dieselstormers is run 'n' gun game from Giana Sisters studio, on Kickstarter now

Dieselstormers is the new shooter from Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams developer Black Forest Games, and it's live on Kickstarter now.

It totally looks like Contra, which in my humble opinion is no bad thing:

The Dieselstormers Kickstarter campaign has 21 days left to hit $50,000 in funding, and is currently at $17,086.

It stars diesel-powered knights as they gun their way through the city of Ravensdale, while they battle to liberate it from Ork hordes. In a neat twist, levels are also procedurally-generated. You can download a playable prototype here.

Black Forest is offering co-op for up to four players, customisable characters, upgradable weapons, team upgrades and co-op attacks.

Dieselstormers is coming to Windows PC initially, then Linux and Mac via Steam. The studio is also planning to bring it to Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U. We'll have more on it as it comes.
