Twitch opens UK headquarters on Carnaby Street, London

Twitch has opened a UK headquarters on Carnaby Street in London, the firm has told MCV. The office will house 10 staffers including former GameSpot account director Michael Thomas as sales director, and Matthew Bowe as account manager. Twitch said 50% of its global traffic can be attributed to the EMEA region, and the streaming channel's UK traffic has doubled to 2 million unique users in the last year. Localized versions of the Twitch website are in development for various European territories, and the new London office will include a studio where UK developers can stream content over Twitch.
