inFamous: Second Son patch with Photo Mode goes live tomorrow

Sucker Punch will release an inFamous: Second Son patch tomorrow, April 17.

The update will allow PlayStation 4 users to disable the HUD, and adjust the time of day once the game has been completed.

The ability to cap - not lock - the framerate at 30 FPS was added, along with localization text changes, and a couple of fixes "for rare crashes in the game."

Second Son will now pause should the batteries on your controller die, and those playing on expert difficulty will be notified in the options dialog if they are qualified for the “Unstoppable” trophy.

Photo Mode will also be included in the patch, which enables player to enable photo mode within the game options. To use it, click L3 to pause the game, and a suite of internal tools like setting depth of field will be available to take screencaps.

The tutorial video on Photo Mode is posted above.

"These options and settings, including frame rate, will reset to defaults each time you restart the game," said Sucker Punch. "We chose to not disturb our game save file format with this patch in order get these features to you as quickly as we could.

"Additionally, Photo Mode will only work in situations where the camera is freely movable by players. In scripted sequences or cutscenes you can still take screenshots of course, just not with the Photo Mode tools."
